The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have.
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
SO, keep dancing ladies.........winter is only a season & after that comes Spring - beautiful new beginnings, luv to u all....

strong as a butterfly

Recently I saw this - hope you like it -
Like the Butterfly, I have the strength & the hope to believe,
In time, I will emerge from my cocoon.....
Transformed.
THEN, at church last week, someone came up to tell me that they felt God had said to them that I was like a butterfly - that butterlies look weak, but actually are very strong, especially breaking out of their cocoon, & then many of them fly huge distances, & of course are very beautiful :)

Am feeling so blessed to know you gals & encouraged by your strength & determinaton to conquer all the hard things in life. Keep choosing LIFE, I know you'll make it, you're stronger than ED no matter what IT tells you :)

AND, "Live each moment as if it is all there is"
OH, & on a lighter note! - Laughter burns calories, so I'm told - so go enjoy life !!

what would life be without friends -
- love, support, fun, hardwork, accountability, vunerability - can't do without them, yet one of Ed's great lies is we can & should do this on our own - poo hoo, I don't think so!!
We deserve friendship, along with every other good pleasure, why is it so hard to believe that for ourselves but can for others?

W. O. W. - Women of Worth - what do you think, sounds like a good name or title for this blog site, or at least something we can tell ourselves....often!!

Life is pretty darn good =)
If we can get out heads out of the sand - out of the darkness of ED, BDD, addictions, emotional torment, fears, shame, guilt, the past - just even for a glance, we can look for the beauty in the world, in others, in us - yeh I know there is a lot of awful things happening around the world, & heaps of sad things in peoples lives, but there is always something good to find, even if we have to dig a little for it - it's worth it.
I hope you can look for the good, the fun, the rainbows, the smiles, the freedom to choose for ourselves & not be controlled, the opportunities life offers, fulfilling dreams & making our lives count.
Be free - to see the good, to fly, to soar, to enjoy life to the max.

Just wanted to let you all know that there actually is always hope!!
A beautiful lady I told you about last year who totally recovered from anorexia - at deaths-door, battling with every mouthful! - & who got married, who held down a job whilst helping others struggling;
Well she has just had a healthy baby & she is healthy & as happy as..... ALL things are possible if we believe they are =)
Life can be great, is great, will be great - where ever you're at - things will get better if we want them to.
Be encouraged.......believe in yourself.........hope, always hope

A New Start

At the end of a year it feels like you have the weight of the world on you - stressed & tired from everything...But January always feels like a fresh start; like you have a chance to make new choices, new opportunities, clean the slate as they say!
I know we are still on the same journey, & the past is always with us, but maybe we can focus more on where we want to be NOW, & where we want to be headed through the year. Hey at least I'm feeling a little more positive!!!
I don't want to forever feel weak-willed just cos the emotions & will struggle at times. Ppls with an ED have huge inner strength & determination to do it the first place...so try not to listen to the "oh, poor.........." comments & lies...... don't let anyone look down on you....everyone hold your head up high this year, cos we are walking out TOGETHER.... =)
I love that phrase - "GO GIRLS" - inspiring!!
